Matshidiso J Lekwape

Ms Lekwape is an Advocate of the HC of South Africa, Acting Judge of the Labour Appeal Court, accredited mediator and arbitrator. Before establishing her practice, she served as a Legal Advisor, Risk and Legal Analyst, AML and Sanctions Research Officer, and Litigation Officer. These roles strengthened her expertise in litigation, compliance, risk management, legal advisory services, and dispute resolution. She has completed postgraduate courses in Internet Research (UP), Money Laundering (UJ), Banking Law and Financial Markets Law (WITS), and the Programme in Labour Dispute Resolution Practice (Stellenbosch). And completed specialised training in Advanced Trial Advocacy, Commercial Law Practice, Conflict Management and ADR, Compliance, MVA, and Medical Negligence. Before joining the Bar, she was a member of the National Forum of Advocates from October 2012. Her experience before the courts, together with her judicial and dispute resolution roles, reflects professional excellence, sound judgment, and a commitment to the fair, efficient, and principled resolution of disputes.
