Kameel Magan

Kameel Magan was admitted to the Bar in 2012 and joined the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2013. In 2026, he served as an Acting Judge of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, Johannesburg.

Kameel has developed a specialist practice in pension fund law and is widely recognised for his expertise in the field. His practice also extends to medical scheme law, administrative law, constitutional law, company law, contract law and general civil litigation. He regularly advises and appears in matters involving complex regulatory frameworks and disputes within the financial services sector.

Beyond his practice at the Bar, Kameel serves as a trustee on more than ten retirement funds, having been appointed both independently and by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. His governance experience provides him with a practical and strategic perspective on the regulatory and fiduciary obligations facing funds and their stakeholders.
